Midagahara walking, Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in Toyama
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route was opened in 1971, after improving the condition of the transportation route as a result of the construction of the Kurobe Dam. Midagahara is one of the areas to walk around along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.
You can take a public bus from Murododaira or stop over from Tateyama Station. Follow the boardwalk through the wetland area situated 1,930 m above sea level. You can choose to do a 45-minute walk or a 1 hour and a half hour boardwalk while enjoying the beautiful scenery and alpine plants.
